how ARE THE
CHILDREN?

If the children are not well, none of us are truly well.
Community - This is a call to action for the well-being of our children, families, and future in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.
The phrase "And how are the children?" originates from a greeting used by the Maasai people of Kenya, one of the most respected warrior cultures in Africa. In this tradition, the health and safety of the community is measured by the well-being of its youngest members. The customary response, “All the children are well”, reflects: life is in balance, the village is strong, and the people are living in alignment with their responsibilities to one another.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE MARCH?
Our Children Are a Collective Responsibility.
This moment calls for more than awareness. It calls for participation, connection, and shared commitment.
We each have a role to play in building a community and the conditions where every child can thrive. This means we shift our investment toward a child wellbeing economy.
